Starlight Collection has long been the star of our curated Yixing teapot collections, pun intended. Each teapot undergoes the Shuimo-Polish technique, a craftsmanship tradition dating back to the late Qing Dynasty of the 1800s, once favored by royal families in Southeast Asia. Featuring small-sized Yixing teapots, this collection offers designs that are both adorable and cherishable, making them perfect companions for solo tea sessions.

The Shui Ping (水平) teapot, one of the most classic Yixing teapot shapes for brewing Gongfu tea, was originally designed to maintain balance while floating in hot water.

The decoration features an entwined lotus pattern, crafted using Falangcai (珐琅彩), an enamel technique originating in the Qing Dynasty. This auspicious scrolling pattern, with its continuous and unbroken structure, symbolizes the idea of 'endless vitality.'

When Yixing teapot Meets Falangcai

Falangcai, which emerged in the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, is a widely used decorative technique in porcelain. This teapot combines Yixing Zisha with enamel decoration, blending the two traditions in a harmonious and refreshing way. Its design holds its own alongside traditional Yixing Zisha carvings and clay paintings in both craftsmanship and charm.
