Genuine gold powder is added during firing creates a unique iridescent pattern while preserving breathability. Each teapot's finish varies by clay type and firing conditions.

The Shui Ping (水平) teapot, one of the most classic shape for brewing Gongfu tea, was originally designed to maintain balance while floating in hot water. This edition is made with Zhuni (朱泥) clay, hence the matcha gold tone.
