Bamboo Shi Piao Yixing Teapot
Bamboo Collection consists of teapots that are highly specialized in craftsmanship and uniquely artistic in looks. The teapot’s body is hand-carved into intricate 'bamboo threads.' Through multiple procedures, the bamboo strips are crafted with uniform thickness and an interwoven texture, mimicking real bamboo weaving.
The Shi Piao (石瓢) teapot is one of the most iconic forms in Yixing teaware, with origins tracing back to the Song Dynasty. One side of the teapot features a finely hand-painted scene of a tranquil riverside village, complete with pavilions, lush greenery, and distant mountains—all rendered in soft, harmonious tones. The reverse side is embellished with hand-painted Chinese calligraphy, capturing the poetic sentiment of returning home through pastoral landscapes.
This bamboo edition is crafted from aged Wuni clay from Huanglong Mountain, one of our signature premium clays.
