Our Moonlight Collection is designed to evoke serenity and romance. Crafted from premium suet white jade Duanni (羊脂白玉段泥) clay, these teapots are valued for their exceptional breathability and the rich patina it develops over time with tea brewing.

This Palace Lantern (宮燈) teapot is an innovative design. It features a low, rounded body with a slightly raised foot and flat shoulder. The short, gently curved spout pairs with a broad handle shaped in a smooth arch. The flat lid, with its recessed rim and looped handle, fits securely into the wide mouth of the vessel.

Its decoration showcases detailed Zisha clay painting with one side depicts a bird perched beside blooming pomegranates, while the other presents a golden calligraphy verse, thematically linked through imagery of birdsong and blossoms.

Exquisite Zisha Clay Painting

Zisha clay painting is a traditional Yixing teapot decoration method that became popular in the late 17th century during the Qing Dynasty. The technique involves applying a fine clay slurry, either in the same clay as the teapot body or in contrasting colors, onto the semi-dry surface of a finished teapot. Artists use brushes to paint motifs such as landscapes, flowers, birds, and calligraphy. After firing, the painted designs appear slightly raised, resembling shallow relief.
