One of the defining features of the Pumpkin (南瓜) Teapot is its naturally inspired form. The body showcases exaggerated ridges that mimic the curves of a pumpkin—plump at the belly and gradually tapering into a small, rounded mouth. Adorned with delicately sculpted leaves in a contrasting clay color and two cute little beetles perched on the lid and the body, this YANYOO edition of the Pumpkin Teapot exudes a refreshing, nature-inspired beauty.

Bionic Yixing teapots, also known as "floral ware" (花货), are teapots designed with relief and semi-relief sculptural elements that replicate natural forms from the plants and animals.

Chen Mingyuan, a renowned Yixing Zisha artist from the Kangxi period of the Qing dynasty, revolutionized teapot design by shifting from the late Ming ribbed styles to natural forms. A pioneer of floral ware, he established it as a key Yixing teapot style. The Pumpkin Teapot stands as one of his most iconic creations.
