Duo Zhi Yixing Teapot
Our signature Twilight Collection has been a longtime fan favorite, showcasing teapots crafted from decades-aged Wuni (乌泥), a subcategory of Zini clay from Huanglong Mountain. Fired in a specialized kiln at over 1,200°C, these teapots feature a smooth, deep red luster and a mesmerizing iridescent sheen. The finely textured clay develops a natural patina over time, adding to its timeless appeal.
This Duo Zhi (掇只) teapot, created during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty by the Yixing master Shao Daheng, is regarded as a classic form. It is defined by its dignified, understated shape, featuring a rounded body with a ring foot, a flat pearl-shaped knob, and balanced proportions.
The decoration features Zisha clay of a peacock within a traditional Chinese bird-and-flower motif, complemented by gold-accented calligraphy on the reverse, symbolizing auspiciousness, beauty, and nobility.
