Wild Plume Si Ting Teapot
Discover our latest Wild Plume collection, i.e., the dance of gold and fire. The creation of this collection is challenging due to the relatively high failure rate associated with the specialized firing technique. Genuine gold powder is added during the firing process, resulting in a unique iridescent pattern on the teapot’s surface without sacrificing its breathability. The color finish varies for each piece, influenced by the type of clay used as well as the different firing parameters applied.
The Si Ting (思亭) teapot, name after the renowned Yixing Grand Master Lu Siting from the Qing Dynasty, has a gracefully curved spout and an elegant looped handle. Its tall lid aligns with the mouth of the pot, featuring a round knob and a rounded bottom.
This particular edition is made with Dahongpao Zhuni (朱泥大紅袍) clay, known to be the finest grade among all Zhuni clay.
