Wild Plume Yang Tong Teapot
Discover our latest Wild Plume collection, i.e., the dance of gold and fire. The creation of this collection is challenging due to the relatively high failure rate associated with the specialized firing technique. Genuine gold powder is added during the firing process, resulting in a unique iridescent pattern on the teapot’s surface without sacrificing its breathability. The color finish varies for each piece, influenced by the type of clay used as well as the different firing parameters applied.
The Yang Tong (洋桶) teapot, which originated in the late Qing Dynasty, was later elevated by renowned Grand Master Gu Jingzhou. Its long, oval-shaped body offers a simple yet dignified design, combining grace with superb functionality.
This particular edition is made with aged Lvni (绿泥) clay and features a elegant golden lifting handle.
