The Han Tang Shi Piao (漢棠石瓢) teapot is a refined variation of the classic Shi Piao Yixing teapot, which originated in the Song Dynasty. The body extends downward in a straight line below the rim, flowing smoothly into the teapot's curved surface. The spout is nearly straight in front, with a reverse curve at the back, adding a sense of strength. Its overall design is simple, elegant, and timeless, with a dignified presence.

The teapot is finished in Yu Cheng Kiln, a collaborative space where cultural figures, renowned pottery makers, and skilled engravers come together to create exceptional pieces.

The decoration features a finely hand-sculpted plum tree in bloom, accompanied by a traditional Chinese poem.

The Legend of Yucheng Kiln

Mei Diaoding (1839–1906), a renowned calligrapher and poet from Ningbo, was celebrated as 'unsurpassed in elegance during the 260 years of the Qing Dynasty.' A tea enthusiast with a deep appreciation for Yixing teapots, Mei founded the Yucheng Kiln in his later years as a literati endeavor.

The Yucheng Kiln transcended the role of a mere literati workshop for Yixing clay. It flourished as a collaborative collective, spearheaded by esteemed calligraphers and seal carvers, and further enriched by the expertise of skilled potters and ceramic engravers. The name 'Yu Cheng' is an honorific term meaning 'to fulfill' or 'to perfect.'
